And again....starting over

So, when Origin was giving away the free Sims 2 Unlimited I jumped at the chance to have it.  I backed up my neighborhoods and installed it.  Unfortunately, I didn't realize at the time that my saved neighborhoods were not going to work.  You see I had lost my university disk at some point.  So I purchased a pack that contained university.  It also installed the store edition of sims on my computer.  That was why I lost all my saves the last time.  I didn't know that was why at the time.  Live and learn.  Now, because I no longer have the store edition, I can't use my saves AGAIN.  So frustrating.  Especially since I had made it through almost a complete round this time.

So...I started a Class Matters neighborhood which has sort of fizzled.  That's because the Sims 4 came out.  Despite what people think, I kind of like it.  I haven't played anything much lately.  I have worked way to many hours since May when a girl at work quit leaving me doing my stuff and half of hers.  Now it's the holiday season and I'm running myself ragged.  I have finally got several vacation days in a row off.  I don't know what to do with myself.  I need to be cleaning my house but instead I'm simming.  I've been playing and trying to learn TS4.  I'm getting better but it is still not easy or relaxing.  So I've once again restarted my Megahood.   Sometimes I don't know why I bother.  But this is what I do.  I read.  And when I'm burned out from reading to many books in a row, I sim.

So, Happy Holidays to you.  I hope you have a great one.  I am going to try to get my first entry for the new neighborhood up today.  I've played one lot for one week and started on a second lot.  I know.  Such huge progress.  Anyway, I hope to start playing this more and blogging it.  Unfortunately I am one of those people who want to do EVERYTHING so they finish nothing.  The only thing I've ever finished is the Apocalypse Challenge.  I even gave up on my legacy family on generation nine...because I HATED them by then.  So, now I'm rambling.  Well I guess that's what blogs are for.  Merry Christmas everyone.  I hope you have a wonderful new year full of love, laughter and simming.

  1. Oh no! Although it is exciting to start on a new 'hood, it's a shame you lost everything.
Thanks for posting the link to what you've been doing with TS4 so far! I haven't got the game yet, hoping it will be part of my Christmas presents :-) I'll have some time to myself after Christmas to discover the game step by step.
For now, I am trying to complete the current round in my TS2 megahood before the start of 2015. I have plans for New Maximiliania for 2015: I want to re-organize the entire 'hood, lots and houses-wise, not Sims-wise.

Merry Christmas and all the Best for 2015 to you, too!

I am doing a challenge called the board game challenge and nearly up to first heir but i have got bored, then started a prosperity style to use small day challenges in them, so i have four hoods now that i play and still looking for other things to do.
